Used mining and quarry equipment from China

Large excavators, production loaders, quarry tippers and crushers, with prices on the page.

Omega Machines · Updated 3 October 2026

Mining and quarry work needs bigger machines than a building site, and the price gap between a twenty tonne excavator and a forty tonne one is large. That is exactly where buying used from China pays for itself.

What we have standing now

Three machines in our Qingdao yard are built for this work. The Caterpillar 345GC at USD 125,000, forty three tonnes with 871 hours. The Caterpillar 349D at USD 107,000, forty seven tonne class with 762 hours. And the Komatsu WA500 at USD 51,000, a production loader at 32.5 tonnes with 826 hours.

All three are Japanese built with low hours, which is unusual at this size. Machines this big normally reach the used market worn out.

What we source to order

Most of what we sell for mining never appears on this website. Large wheel loaders including the Caterpillar 980 series, forty and fifty tonne excavators in other makes, heavy duty tippers built for quarry haulage, and rock crushers and screening plants. Tell us what you need and we will go and find it.

Sizing it properly

The excavator has to match the truck. A forty tonne machine fills a thirty tonne truck in three or four passes, which is what keeps a pit moving. A twenty tonne machine will do it in seven or eight, and that difference decides whether the job makes money.

Questions we are asked

What quarry and mining buyers ask us before they order.

Large excavators

How much does a used mining excavator cost?+
Ours run from USD 107,000 for the Caterpillar 349D to USD 125,000 for the 345GC, both FOB Qingdao. Smaller quarry machines start well below that and we source to order across the range.
What is the cheapest 40 ton excavator you have?+
The Caterpillar 349D at USD 107,000, with 762 hours on it. At that hour count on a machine this size you are buying almost all of its working life.
Where can I buy a cheap 50 ton excavator?+
China, and from a yard that owns its stock. Machines in the forty to fifty tonne class come off Chinese projects regularly and sell for a fraction of what they cost new.
How much is a used Caterpillar 349?+
Our 349D is USD 107,000 as is, Japanese built, 762 hours, forty seven tonne class. We can also source other years and hour counts if this one does not suit.
How much is a used Caterpillar 345?+
Our 345GC is USD 125,000 as is, forty three tonnes, 871 hours. The GC line was built simpler on purpose, which suits a buyer who wants output rather than electronics.
Do you have large excavators under 150,000 dollars?+
Yes, both of ours are. Machines of this class often sit well above that figure, so the gap comes from buying used from the yard rather than through a dealer.
Can you source a large excavator you do not have in stock?+
Yes, and most of what we sell at this size never reaches the website. Tell us the make, the tonnage and the hour ceiling and we will go and look.
Do I need a 20 ton or a 40 ton excavator for quarry work?+
Forty, in almost every case. A twenty tonne machine can work a quarry but it will not keep trucks moving, and on a production site that is what decides whether the job pays.
What size excavator do I need to load a 30 ton truck?+
A forty tonne class machine fills it in three or four passes. Anything smaller doubles the cycle count and slows the whole pit down.

Production loaders

How much does a used production wheel loader cost?+
Our Komatsu WA500 is USD 51,000 with 826 hours, which is a very strong figure for a 32.5 tonne loader built in Japan.
Can you supply a Caterpillar 980G?+
Yes, to order. The 980 series is one of the machines we are asked for most and it comes through our network regularly, so tell us the year and hour range you want.
Where can I buy a cheap Komatsu WA500?+
We have one now at USD 51,000 FOB Qingdao. Loaders at this size normally cost a great deal more, so it is worth confirming availability before you plan around it.
What size wheel loader do I need for a quarry?+
Something in the thirty tonne class or above if you are loading trucks continuously. A five tonne rated load machine is a site loader, not a production one.
Can you source a large wheel loader to order?+
Yes. Tell us the bucket capacity or the truck you need to fill and we will find the right size rather than sell you what we happen to hold.

Heavy trucks

How much does a used quarry dump truck cost?+
It depends on the payload and the configuration. Tell us what you are hauling and over what ground, and we will price it from current stock and from our network.
Where can I buy heavy duty tipper trucks for a quarry?+
From China, and in quantity if you need a fleet. Quarry haulage is harder on a truck than road work, so the chassis and the axle configuration matter more than the horsepower.
What payload truck do I need for a quarry?+
Match it to your loader and your haul road. A truck too big for the loader wastes cycles, and a truck too heavy for the road destroys the road.
Can you supply several tipper trucks at once?+
Yes, and fleets are normal work for us. Buying several together improves the price per truck and means one shipment and one clearance.

Crushers

Can you supply a rock crusher?+
Yes, to order. Jaw, cone, impact and complete crushing and screening plants all come through our network.
How much does a used rock crusher cost?+
It varies enormously with type and capacity. Tell us the material, the tonnes per hour you need and the output sizes, and we will price it properly.
Can you supply a crusher and an excavator together?+
Yes, and that is the sensible way to buy. Matching the feed machine to the crusher avoids the most common mistake in setting up a pit.

Buying and delivery

Is it cheaper to buy mining equipment from China?+
Substantially, and the gap widens as the machines get bigger. On a hundred thousand dollar machine the freight is a small share of the total, so the saving on the machine goes almost straight into your pocket.
Can you supply several machines for one mining site?+
Yes. Equipping a site with an excavator, a loader and trucks together is normal work for us, and ordering together improves both the price and the freight.
How much does it cost to ship a 40 ton excavator?+
Machines this heavy are quoted individually, because the weight puts them outside standard rates. Tell us your port and we will price it against the actual sailing.
How do I pay for mining equipment bought overseas?+
Through Beaumont Investment Group, LLC in the United States, our parent company. Seventy five percent up front and twenty five percent before shipping, all in writing first.
Are parts easy to find for large mining machines?+
For Caterpillar and Komatsu, yes, anywhere in the world. That matters more at this size than at twenty tonnes, because downtime on a production machine costs real money every hour.
Can I inspect a mining machine before paying?+
Yes, and at these values we would insist you consider it. Come to Qingdao or appoint an inspector, and we give them full access.
Do you supply mining equipment to Africa?+
Yes, across West, East, Southern and North Africa. Mining drives a large share of what we ship to the continent.
Do you supply mining equipment to South America?+
Yes, to Callao, Valparaiso, Iquique, Arica and the other Pacific ports, and overland into Bolivia from the Chilean coast.
