Questions we are asked
Questions buyers ask us about this particular XCMG GR1803.
About the XCMG GR1803
Is the XCMG GR1803 a good grader for road work?+
Yes. It is XCMG's mainstream grader and it is built for exactly this, cutting base, shaping camber and keeping haul roads flat.
What work does the GR1803 suit best?+
Road base and camber, site platforms, haul road maintenance and trimming before the rollers come through.
Does this GR1803 have a ripper?+
Yes, a rear ripper is fitted, which is what you want for breaking up old surface before you regrade it.
Are 171 hours believable on a 2025 grader?+
It is a 2025 machine, so yes. We photograph the meter, and on a grader the blade edge and the circle wear should match a figure that low.
Is this GR1803 still available?+
It is standing in Qingdao. A grader this new at this hour count does not sit long, so confirm early if you are serious.
Price, parts and payment
How much is the XCMG GR1803?+
USD 42,000 as is, machine only, standing in our Qingdao yard. Freight is quoted separately once you give us your port.
Why is an XCMG grader cheaper than a Caterpillar?+
You are not paying the badge premium. On graders the gap in price is wider than the gap in the work they do, which is why so many contractors buy XCMG.
Can I get parts for a GR1803 where I am?+
XCMG parts move out of China constantly and we supply them ourselves, including blade edges, circle parts and filters.
What is a Shangchai engine?+
A Chinese built diesel used across a lot of XCMG equipment. Parts and service for it are widely available, which matters more on a grader than the badge on the valve cover.
How do I pay for this machine?+
75 percent on confirmation and 25 percent before shipping, to Beaumont Investment Group, LLC, our parent company in the United States.
Shipping and inspection
Can you ship the GR1803 to my port?+
Yes. Tell us the port and we quote the machine and the sea freight as one landed figure.
How does a motor grader travel by sea?+
On a flat rack or as breakbulk on a bulk vessel, depending on the sailing. It does not fit a standard container.
Can I see video of the grader working?+
Yes. We film it moving, with the blade and the circle turning, and send it on WhatsApp.
Can I send an inspector to Qingdao?+
Yes, and we encourage it on a machine at this price. Our yard is open to independent inspectors.
