A used excavator and wheel loader in Morocco, duty paid

Both machines are standing in our Mohammedia yard with the duty settled, and both can move this week.

Omega Machines · Updated 3 November 2026

Most of the companies who call us in Morocco are not looking for a machine, they are looking for enough iron to open a site. An excavator on its own moves ground it cannot properly load out, and a loader on its own waits for somebody to give it something to pick up. We have both machines in the same yard right now, both with the duty already paid, and it makes more sense to present them as a set than as two separate listings.

Why the two belong together

The excavator digs, trims and loads. The loader feeds the crusher or the plant, shifts the stockpiles and keeps the trucks turning while the excavator stays at the face. It is the oldest and most profitable pairing in earthmoving, and it is the one that lets a crew hold a programme without hiring a second machine every time the pace picks up.

Bought separately these are two sound machines. Bought together they cover a full site from the first morning, which is what a contractor actually needs when the contract is signed and the clock has already started.

The excavator, Caterpillar 323D2L

A 2024 323D2L, 22 ton class, 387 hours on the meter, original Caterpillar diesel, built in Japan. At that reading the machine has barely started its working life. The price is MAD 845,000 as is, with the duty already settled.

The loader, SDLG 956L

A 2024 956L with a Weichai engine and 167 hours. SDLG is the most common loader brand on Moroccan sites, which means you can find an operator who already knows it and a spare part without waiting a month. The price is MAD 685,000 as is, duty settled as well.

Duty paid, and that is the real difference

Almost everything else you will look at is a machine still to be imported. That means the sailing, the wait at the port, the clearance and the charges that come with it, and it means counting in weeks. These two are already in Morocco, the duty is paid, and the only transport left is Mohammedia to your site. For a contractor who has just won work, that time is usually worth more than the difference in price.

The work this pair is built for

Earthworks and road jobs, where the excavator opens and the loader lifts and loads the trucks. Quarry and aggregates, where the loader feeds the crusher while the excavator works the face. Water and sewer, where the excavator cuts the trench and the loader backfills behind it. Industrial and logistics platforms, where the two swap roles as the phase changes.

Come and see them in Mohammedia

You can come and run them both before you pay anything. On a sum like this that is the sensible thing to do, and Mohammedia is a short drive from Casablanca, Rabat and Kenitra. Book a time and both machines will be out and warmed up when you arrive.

The hours, and why we publish them

We publish the meter on every machine and we photograph it. Paint is the easiest thing to redo on a used machine and hours are not. That lets you compare on the thing that matters rather than on two photographs taken from a flattering angle.

What the two cost

MAD 845,000 for the excavator and MAD 685,000 for the loader, so MAD 1,530,000 for the pair, as is, duty settled. If you want both, say so when you write to us and we will talk about a price for the set rather than two separate prices.

After the sale

We supply parts for the machines you buy from us and for the rest of your fleet whoever sold it, and we have mechanics who travel to site in Morocco. A company buying two machines from us does not need to find a third party for the servicing.

Questions buyers ask

What Moroccan contractors ask us about these two machines.

Buying the two together

Why buy an excavator and a loader together?+
Because the excavator digs and loads while the loader feeds and shifts the stockpiles. On their own each one waits for the other.
What do both machines cost together?+
MAD 845,000 for the excavator and MAD 685,000 for the loader, so MAD 1,530,000 for the pair, as is.
Is there a better price if I take both?+
Say so in your enquiry and we will talk about a price for the set rather than two separate prices.
Can I buy only one of them?+
Yes, they sell separately. Each has its own listing with its price and its hours.
Are these two enough to start a site?+
For earthworks, yes. You will want trucks, and depending on the job a roller or a grader, which we can source.

The machines

How many hours are on the 323D2L?+
387 on the meter, photographed as it stands on the machine listing.
How many hours are on the SDLG 956L?+
167 hours. At that reading the machine is still at the start of its life.
Was the excavator built in Japan?+
Yes, the 323D2L was built in Japan and runs its original Caterpillar diesel.
What engine is in the SDLG loader?+
A Weichai, the most common loader engine in Morocco, which keeps servicing and parts simple.
Why an SDLG rather than a European brand?+
Because you can find an operator who knows it and a part within days, which is not always true of the rarer brands here.
What size job suits a 22 ton excavator?+
Serious earthworks, road jobs, quarry work and deep services. Below 20 tons you give away output on that kind of work.

Buying, duty and what follows

Is the import duty already paid?+
Yes, both machines are cleared and standing in our Mohammedia yard.
How soon can they be on my site?+
As long as the road transport from Mohammedia takes. There is no sailing and no wait at the port because they are already in Morocco.
Can I see them before I pay?+
Yes, in Mohammedia, and we will have them out and running for you. On this kind of money we recommend it.
Do you sell parts afterwards?+
Yes, for these machines and for the rest of your fleet, and we have mechanics who travel to site.
Is the price firm?+
Make an offer and you will get a straight answer. Buyers taking both have more room.

Tell us if you want both

Give us the job and the date you need the machines on site. We come back with a price for the pair, usually the same day.
